Delaware Water Gap National Recreation AreaJuly 6th - 8th, 2013 Come on a photographic journey and discover one of the east coast's best kept secrets only an hour and a half from New York City. The park was formed by Ice Age Glaciers and the only undammed river on the east of the Mississippi. Surrounding this National Wild and Scenic River are over 100,000 of wilderness acres. We will climb above the breath taking cliffs of the water gap, green mossy gorges and towering beautiful waterfalls surrounded by rhododendrons in bloom, the 1800's village with rare barns, maple sugar shack and early American architecture. We will drive one of America's oldest road and 1700's Dutch homes including the oldest abandon Dutch copper mine in America. We photograph the flower gardens and lawns of Grey Towers- the ancestral home of Gifford Pinchot the first chief of the National Forest! This workshop is rated moderately strenuous! |
